The Life of a Vegetarian

One week of vegetarianism completed. An indefinite period of time more to go?

The hot dog cravings are ridiculous...

Fulfilling the dream of becoming a Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest champion seems a bit difficult right now.

A London-ful Spring Break

An 8-day rendez-vous with London . . .

Literally ran out right after my last midterm, missed my train, caught a cab to the airport, and off I went.

BANQUETING HOUSE! After writing a 15+ pager for Renaissance and Baroque Architecture last semester, seeing this building in person was amazing. Built by Inigo Jones, who introduced Classical architecture to England, the Banqueting House is so elegant and beautiful. I'm basically in love with Jones. Actually, if he were still alive, I would marry the man, despite his large pot belly and balding head. I can look past those characteristics....

(I think they were setting up for a dinner when we visited. Explains the clutter of boxes.)

(Banqueting House from the front.)

McAvoy was great in Three Days of Rain at the Apollo Theater. (He's signing my program in the photo.)

OXFORD: Reunion with Amy after nearly 3 years! We trained over to Oxford from Pennington to tour her campus, did a mini-pub crawl with her friends, oo-ed and awed at the brilliant old buildings (at least I did), and met up with Tomo for dinner. Amy, I miss you tons and can't wait until Le Trois' Shanghai 2010!

More from the trip:
- Lovely St. Patrick's Day
- Shakespeare's "Globe Theater" - In quotes because the one Della and I paid a load to see was an imitation of the real Globe that had burned down. Not bitter at all -____-
- Sitting in on a session of Parliament
- Hyde Park + Princess Diana Fountain + Kensington Gardens
- Westminster Abbey
-Buckingham Palace
- Camden Market

(Christopher Wren's St. Paul's Cathedral undergoing renovations)

(From the top of St. Paul's. Della was too afraid to climb to the top. I'm squinting, but the background is still gorgeous!)

(Tower Bridge in background)

For the real highlights [awkward photos, sketchy/"fubu" hostel, etc.] of this trip, please see Della or Katherine's outtakes album. Warning: The photos are quite remarkably awful.

I wanted to write something about this date, so I saved this post. Now I can't recall what it was...

Streetcar Named Desire & the Wonderful Flu

Streetcar is probably my favorite play, and this performance was done well. Wouldn't it be wonderful to direct a show for your thesis?

What is not wonderful is suffering the flu during midterms week....
